Working as an A&E nurse, you will be working in a fast-paced environment and responsible for providing excellent care to patients attending the emergency department.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting preliminary patients examinations to ascertain the patients condition
• Carry out and assist with nursing procedures and treatments as required, in accordance with trust policies and guidelines.
• Taking basic observations
• Ability to priorities and manage work loads
• Applying dressings, administering pain relief, antibiotics and other medicine as prescribed by the doctor
• Develop professional partnerships required to deliver high quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and caregivers.
• Clear verbal and written communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team in one’s department and key departments that support the clinical field.
• Follow the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other related guidance papers for supporting and sustaining professional practice standards.
