Operating Department Practitioner

Start Date: ImmediatePay Range: £20 - £25 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality care and support throughout the perioperative process in collaboration with the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care for neonates.
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre, ensuring equipment is available and safe to use.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing skilled support in anaesthetics, surgery, or recovery.
- Monitor patients’ conditions throughout the perioperative journey, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to provide reassurance and updates.
- Adhere to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards and trust policies to maintain professional excellence.
