We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered General Nurses and Emergency Department Nurses to work across healthcare settings in Blackpool.

Long-term bookings and regular ad hoc shifts are available, providing opportunities for nurses seeking consistent assignments or flexible work alongside their current commitments.

Successful candidates will deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Emergency Department Nurses must be able to work confidently in fast-paced clinical environments and respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual patient needs.
• Assess, triage, and prioritise patients according to their clinical condition and level of urgency.
• Deliver immediate and effective care to patients presenting with a range of urgent and emergency conditions.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications in line with trust policies and clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, identify deterioration, and escalate concerns promptly to senior clinicians.
• Maintain a calm, organised, and professional approach when working in high-pressure situations.
• Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families, carers, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records.
• Support safe patient handovers and contribute to continuity of care across clinical departments.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
• Uphold professional standards in line with the NMC Code and relevant emergency care guidelines.
